The Advocate
I have a passion for serving disenfranchised people. I hold valuable experience as an advocate in many different forms. In 2018, I served as a Capitol Hill Intern for Congressman G.K. Butterfield and advocated against the separation of immigrant families at the U.S.-Mexico border. As the student body president for the 2019-2020 academic school year, my team and I successfully advocated for an early polling site on A&Tâs campus. My career goal is to work with immigrants and refugees in their resettlement process, mainly in second language acquisition.
