Faith & Devotion
My belief in God is the biggest part of me. He is my source, my strength, my refugee. I truly believe that without Him I am nothing. I dedicated my life to God on January 15, 2017 and was baptized on April 15, 2017. I grew up going to church and loving God, but I was still a kid just trying to figure things out. I never expected to get to college and create a personal relationship with God, but I am so glad I did. Throughout college, I have found my biggest ministry in writing. I don’t praise dance (but I def shout), sing, play instruments, or anything, but I knew I wanted to serve God in a way that also ministers to me. I hope you enjoy my devotionals and guided writing activities.

Back in February 2017, I bought this amazing book by Pastor Lady Leah McNair. 21 Days of Powerful Prayers for Women helped me with many breakthroughs in my own life. As a young woman in Christ, this book taught me the foundation of prayer. It taught me how to make specific prayers and how to make broader prayers for certain times. Before I knew it, I was writing down my own prayers in my spiritual notebooks.
Playlists
A Good, upbeat, praise and worship playlist. If you have to push yourself into a praise, this is the one. You will soon find yourself jumping around, nodding your head, in a place of gratitude that reminds you why God is just so worthy to be praised.
Worship songs to really touch the soul. This playlist is good for getting into meditation, prayer, or if you like to spend your nights with God. Grab this tissue cause you will be crying by at least the 3rd song.
There is nothing like starting your day with God. Honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. This morning worship is full of upbeat classics from Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond, and Marvin Sapp. There is nothing like starting your morning with “Praise Him in Advance” and “You Covered Me.”
This is every song I need that makes me feel like I already won the battle. If you don’t feel like you’re going to win but need to push and get a break through, this will do it. It’s a playlist full of reminders that God has never lost a battle and that we are more than conquerors. Let this album uplift your spirit or put you in an attitude of winning.
This playlist is to be paired with the “Overcoming Devotional” that you can find under the Faith and Devotion section. It features songs that resonated with me when I was at my lowest. Songs that cry out to God about redemption, hard times, but most importantly, living through it. If you’re in a hard place, I recommend listening to this playlist and really letting it minister to you.
Devotionals
In life, we go through many trials and hardships. Some leave us discouraged and questioning. Both Christians and non-Christians may ask, “Why me?”. In this four-day devotional, we will examine some of the causes of suffering and how God can help us to overcome traumatic situations and experiences.
